The M(D)anavathey Project.

17 Mar

There are projects, and then there are projects. This one doesn’t qualify under either.

Sohumming 35,000 kannada speaking brats, free of cost, under adverse conditions, in 15 days is not a project. It is a tsunami.
But I got through my part of the big jigsaw more or less smoothly. Thanks to all the love that I was filled up to the brim with in manipal. I am convinced I have some karma with that place. I feel so much at home there, more like a spiked pseudo ashram feel. Spike being the PDA, the smoke rings and the drunken stupor.;)

A bundle of us camped with our yoga mats in our minimalistic (mirror free) YES!+ manipal abode. The main course was Danavathey but the mocktails, starters and dessert stole the show.
We watched patanjali yog sutra in the morning, which for me was like a daily dose of red bull. Few of us did a fullon kadak upvaas, minus H2O even, on Shivratri. The group tapa made it fun and thick.
Bawa’s board games were hackneyed followed by tremendous varieties of massages that embodied pleasure and beyond.
World cup in random small hang outs with flat screen tv was super fun too.
Long kriya was performed on the terrace after which a cute candle lit barbecue happened thanks to Sam and Arun. These 2 are like amaron batteries, last long very long;);)Phew, insane energy they are endowed with.
One day, a dip in temple pond was also taken. This pond is situated in an eeriely romantic green place filled with pedicuring fish. We lost ourselves there until an uninvited guest- the water snake chose to share the water body with us.
Desperately tasty south indian home cooked food was consumed (standing ovation to preeti and deepti) and was ravenously consumed by us pondies. Midnight pasta that was manifested was mostly freakking tasty too;)

The daytimes weren’t oh-so-rosy however. I had to unleash my vocal chords in a language alien to the asuras i was teaching in the 4 government colleges i was assigned. With utter lack of electricity, a strong presence of the lord of heat was experienced. Each sweat pore of my surface area cried tears of agony. This is beside my insides which were anyway wailing at my helpless condition.

So the days and nights were long, woefully and gleefully respectively.
Names must be taken, people must be thanked for the gleeful part of the equation.

1] Nikhil; for being the original roomie without even a mirror in the house. he’s enlightened.!

2] Rohit; for being the smartest descendent of meerut.

3] Kulprit; for being there, “waqt se pehle, jarurath se jyada”, like all good things.

4] Aseem; for the nights filled with mindless laughter.

5] Abhinav; for making me feel precious about myself.

6] Arun; for being my guardian angel.

7] Arun’s car for being my non-living guardian angel.

8] The patanjali gang for appearing at 6am (approximately;)) for all of 11 days.

9] Guruji, for getting the above 8 in my life.

I can welcome death this very moment. I feel so full in every way.
Regret free, untouched, happy bird type…

Monstrously Sensational.

the 1st time i saw this video, i was madly gripped by the creative display of information of how we are directly raping the environment on a daily basis. i was quite ashamed of myself in particular and the society at large. if mother earth had limbs, she would have wacked us black and blue, without doubt.
This is definitely a MUST WATCH video with a MUST ACT message. Brace urself to be blown away.

I am safely assuming u invested 21.16min of ur very precious time to watch- the story of stuff. and i am nearly sure it stirred u up. i hope ur nodding ur head right now else i will weep!

so now, step 2; MUST ACT, remember? A brilliant way to begin wud be to apply for a YES!+ course. (YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND SKILLS WORKSHOP). Here’s why:

When there is talk about doing something to bring a smile on mother earth, a common excuse is; “i hv enuf issues of my own to deal with, lemme sort that out 1st b4 i begin to change the planet”! Whether it is to sort ur personal life out (after which u hv promised to heal the world) or if u simply want a wonderful platform to act & impact on present day social circumstances, YES!+ is exactly wat u were looking for~

Requesting the pleasure of ur company,
Yours lovingly.

i often wonder if trees speak among themselves.. i am quite convinced they do actually. wat do u say? i hv observed them when i travel long distance. which is nearly everyday considering i live in mumbai. they seem to chuckle and guzzle and make funny sounds and move in specific ways even in the absence of wind. infact in the international art of living ashram in bangalore, this is so prominent. even with absoultely no breeze, some plants move violently in parts. as if they are conveying somthing to the others. they definately have a language of their own considering they are part of a big fat kingdom who they need to converse with.

it wud be so funny na if the plant kingdom were racist n all…yellow leaf plants are uncool and green ones are cool,, or may be shrubs and creepers hv reservations. the herbs mite fall in the intelligent class ..cos they are more profound than the others…something like brahmins/pandits. or maybe its just the human in me who differentiates.

guruji says that every plant in ur home gets 10 times more excited than a pet wud when u get back home after a long day. superb no? but we are so insensitive that we dont recognise it. this calls for a guru story: sri sri once had coem to mumbai for maha satsang. which means there are atleast a lakh people who come together to sing and celebrate. in the middle of the celebration, guruji suddenly called someone on stage and asked them to water a plant which was in the far end of the huge ground wit a lakh people singing! he asked the person to water the plant cos it was crying! such razor sharp awarness he carries so effortlessly!

and guys did u knw this..in our lifetime of approx. 70 yrs, we use oxygen of 7 whole trees. so it is our frekking responsibility to plant atleast 7 trees in our life if not more.! so do it dear friends! dharthi par bhoj mat bano bhai! leave it a tad prettier b4 u konk off. and u never knw when u wil konk off;planting so do ur good deed today! run to the nearest nursery, buy 7 saplings and plant and adopt them. name the plants for sense of belongingness and or simply for fun sake! u can also go to www.itsmytree.net and upload the pic of ur plant as it grows! real neat site that my pal rupal deisgned. go see. and go plant!tree1tree4tree_2tree3tree_clipart_coconut_tree_2tree09fall_coloured_tree_geral_01
